A Story of Determination

Zion Hill Baptist Church recently renovated/repaired their worship space, which is located in an old Jewish synagogue. The building needed significant work, and the congregation devoted time and energy to improve their building. The congregation purchased several energy efficient windows, two energy efficient furnaces and a hot water heater.

The results of an energy audit showed that significant savings could be realized if additional old/damaged windows were replaced. Interfaith Power & Light (now Interfaith Works) supported the efforts of Zion Hill by purchasing eleven new windows and one door for their building. IP&L and Zion Hill Baptist Church also worked together to bring the Exploration/Expression curriculum to the congregation and to help the congregation purchase renewable power.
