Exploring the connection between faith, religious spaces, communities and our environment.

Exploration/Expression is an eight session curriculum that examines the connection between faith, religious spaces and our environment. Participants explore religious text and then express their thoughts and ideas artistically. The curriculum was designed to take place in conjunction with the Sanctuary Exchange program to facilitate making connections between faith and environmental stewardship and to create advocates for implementing program energy recommendations. Exploration/Expression can also be used as a stand alone curriculum.

The Eight Sessions:

  • Creation
  • Keeper of the Garden
  • God’s Blueprint
  • Identify Habits
  • Consequences
  • Strength in Faith
  • Prepare for Change
  • Community Celebration

Who should use Exploration/Expression?
Exploration/Expression is designed for children, youth, and adults. The curriculum works well with an intergenerational group — young and old exploring their faith, religious spaces, and environment together.

How can the curriculum be used?
Exploration/Expression has been used as a summer day camp, a weekend retreat, an evening study group, and a semester religious studies course.

How can I purchase the curriculum?
Exploration/Expression can be purchased through Interfaith Works. Contact us at info@interfaithworks.org for more information. Click here for a printable order form.

"I think the combination of non-obvious scriptural input and provocative questions is adult education at its best.”
